The conference is a perfect space for the international exchange of experiences and perspectives on the quality of local youth councils at a broad, international and intercontinental level. It brings together various stakeholders in the youth field, such as non-governmental organisations, municipality representatives, researchers, youth workers and youth leaders, to discuss the importance of youth participation at the local level across the participating countries and continents. The participants of the conference will have the opportunity to discuss and share ideas, experiences and best practices for involving young people in decision-making processes, thus giving them a voice and active role in their local communities. The conference is also a launching moment of the LOCAL YOUTH COUNCILS AT INTERNATIONAL SCALE – a 2-years project financed by the European Union, with plenty of exciting experiences, training and outcomes yet to come.
