Training course “Developing Participatory Based Projects”

From 14th-20th April the Training Course “Developing Participatory Based Projects” took place in Skopje, North Macedonia, hosted by our partner Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID).

The training brought together youth workers and municipality representatives from Belgium, Italy, North Macedonia, Portugal, and Poland, providing space to increase the competencies on meaningful participation in terms of exploring new tools and methods to promote youth participation in the decision making processes in their local communities, particularly addressing cooperation with public authorities.

During the training course, issues such as the role of youth activists in democracy development and community building were addressed, aiming to create understanding between the roles of each participant in their local community life. One of the priorities during this training course was finding common roads for understanding and achieve consensus on issues that require consultation and citizens participation.

In this sense, the aim of the training was established in giving participants the capacity to operate with information received during the training, as well as communicate and negotiate on the local level. From the activities developed during the training, and the different capacities explored, participants were given the chance to develop projects for implementing youth participation structures at the local level.

The Training is a part of KA2 project “Youth Participation Matters” implemented by DYPALL Network and its partners ARS for Progress of People, Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID), Europe4Youth and Forum Regionale dei Giovani – Campania, with the support of Erasmus + program.
