CHLaYdoscope Training for trainers

CHLaYdoscope project consortium met in Koper, Slovenia, from 15th – 19th May for the Training for trainers.

During the Training, partners got to know about the local challenges of young people in Koper, such as insufficient public space for young people and how to engage young people in participation in already existing opportunities and spaces such as HEKA, art&science lab run by our hosting organisation PINA or Youth centre Koper.

Since one of the biggest challenges young people face is environmental, we visited the aquarium in Piran to learn about the conditions of autochthonous species in the Gulf of Piran. Later, we had a lecture by a local artist that works on raising awareness of sound pollution of water and had an opportunity to test it.

After these insightful perspectives, partners defined the local challenges and methodology for the upcoming Youth Leaders Academy in Portugal in October 2023, which will give young people knowledge and skills to implement local labs for change-making in their communities. During the Youth Leaders Academy, they will learn how to tackle local challenges innovatively
using tools that enhance creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.

The project is coordinated by Materahub (Italy) in partnership with DYPALL Network, Generazione Lucana (Italy), Warehouse Hub (Italy), ECHN (Greece), PiNA (Slovenia), and the Artist and the Others (The Netherlands). Co-funded with the support of the Italian National Agency.
