S.M.A.R.T. YOUTH CENTRE – KICK-OFF MEETING in Athens, Greece

On the 28th and 29th of March, DYPALL Network was in Athens, Greece, for the kick-off meeting of the project “S.M.A.R.T. Youth Centre”.

S.M.A.R.T. is a 24-month Strategic Partnership involving 8 partners from 6 different European countries – IRTEA, which is the coordinator, BOLT and Change Your Life Now from Greece, DYPALL Network from Portugal, KEKS from Sweden, Comune Di Cinisello Balsamo from Italy, Mreza Mama from Slovenia and Amicus Certus from Lithuania – from the youth and digital activities development sectors.

The expected results of the project are identified in empowering and educating youth workers to be able to understand how digitization shapes societies, including its impact on education and the youth sector in general, to take into account the ‘digital culture’ of young people, to foster a more flexible culture in the adoption of digital tools in education, to design DYW actions in line with the needs and hopes of young people and to encourage the participation of young people in all phases of DYW.

The main objectives that the partners aim to achieve during the project are:
1. The development of digital skills and competencies of youth workers;
2. Ensuring the inclusive nature of learning opportunities;
3. The development of e-learning, mixed and distance learning skills;
4. The development of digital pedagogical skills of youth workers;
5. Empowering youth workers to provide high-quality digital, non-formal inclusive education.

These two days were based on structuring and dividing up the work among partners so that the next steps can be successfully achieved.

S.M.A.R.T. Youth Centre is a project co-funded by the European Union in cooperation with Greek National Agency.
