‘Local Youth Councils at International Scale (LYCIS)’ Third Transnational Project Meeting and Final Conference Activity DYPALL Network participated from 3rd – 8th March 2024, in the Third Transnational Project Meeting and Final Conference for the ‘Local Youth Councils at International Scale (LYCIS)’ project. Both events were organised and hosted by Europiamo in Turin, Italy. During the first 2 days, the project coordinators and the representatives of the partners within the project consortium gathered for the last in-person meeting to assess the project’s progress and plan the final steps. On the 6th and 7th of March, the Final Conference, “Towards a more inclusive society globally –starting from youth councils locally”, took place as a large-scale dissemination event of the project results gathering 40 participants, including several international participants as project partners representatives and stakeholders from the project partner countries, alongside local stakeholders from Italy. Through conference-style moments, as well as workshops with non-formal education methodologies, the following project results were presented to the participants: Quality Charter on participatory and inclusive local youth councils, Toolkit for upgrading local youth councils and MOOC on youth participation and local youth councils. The Conference also served as a space for the exchange and sharing of practices related to youth participation in decision-making at the local level between young people from different parts of the world. Some of the young people who have attended the job shadowing activities or the International training for young multipliers and later on organised a local training, were present at the conference and shared their experience first-hand. The “Local Youth Councils at International Scale (LYCIS)” project is coordinated by DYPALL Network in partnership with Europiamo ETS (Italy), Youth on Board (North Macedonia), Student’s Forum Institute (Palestine), Forum of Young Moroccans for the Third Millennium (Morocco), Farhat Hached Institute for Research and Democracy (Tunisia). It is financed under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the Field of Youth programme by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.
