DYPALL Network represented in the EU Youth Stakeholders Group

It is with great pleasure that we announce that DYPALL Network is represented in the EU Youth Stakeholders Group. This group, coordinated by the European Commission, aims to engage European youth organisations, national youth councils, youth researchers, representatives of Member States and other EU institutions in the implementation of the legacy of the European Year of Youth 2022 and the 2019-2027 EU Youth Strategy, and to facilitate exchanges and youth consultations on forthcoming EU policy initiatives.

DYPALL Network was selected as one of the European-level organisations to become a member of the EU Youth Stakeholders, together with over 90 representatives of EU member states and national youth councils, for three years (until November 2027).

This week, the second meeting of the EU Youth Stakeholders Group took place online, on 8th July 2025, focusing on updates on key youth initiatives by the European Commission, such as Youth Policy Dialogues, EU Youth Dialogue, Commission Youth Check, and President’s Youth Advisory Board.

The Commission then went on to consult the Group members on the Action Plan on the European Social Rights (by DG EMPL) and the EU Civil Society Strategy (by DG JUST). Lastly, the members shared their initiatives and updates, an opportunity which DYPALL Network used to announce our upcoming platform for models of youth engagement developed within the Climbing the Ladder: fostering a culture of Youth Engagement (CL-YE) project.

The first meeting of the EU Youth Stakeholders Group took place on 27th-28th March 2025 in Brussels, and it was a space for the members to get to know each other and get familiarised with the new Commission initiatives. The European Commission Youth team gave updates on key youth policy initiatives, including the youth policy dialogues with Commissioners, the strengthening of the EU Youth Dialogue, the Commission youth check and the 2024 EU Youth Report.

The participants learned about new and upcoming Commission initiatives (the Union of Skills and the Action Plan on Basic Skills, the Democracy Shied initiative) and were reminded of the youth offer of the European Parliament.

The members of the Group exchanged good practices linked to three topics: youth structures and youth participation, youth cross-sector cooperation and mainstreaming instruments and skills and non-formal learning in EU youth programmes.

The meeting was opened by Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture and closed by Glenn Micallef, Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport.

DYPALL Network commits to ensuring its active participation in this important European policy space, in line with one of our priorities, that is, “influencing national and European youth policy development”.

More information about the group can be found on the European Youth Portal.
