Third “EUvironmental emergency in simple words” transnational project meeting

Activity

The third “EUvironmental Emergency in simple words” transnational project meeting occurred from 16th – 19th September in Starachowice, Poland.

The project focuses on engaging young people by encouraging them to address environmental issues that require action at both societal and political levels. It aims to spark the interest of youth in environmental matters and challenge them to take responsibility for actions needed on both a personal and collective scale.

During this period, the participants had several meetings, where they had the opportunity to discuss and evaluate the project results produced so far. They also discussed and prepared the project’s final steps, such as the multiplier events that will take place in each participant’s country, to present all the outcomes of this initiative.

Besides the meetings, all the participants visited Centrum Kreatywności Pałacyk, where the Local Youth Council takes place. They also visited Eko Skoła SP11, an eco-school inspired by the Norwegian method, where they presented the project to a group of students, who prepared a guided visit to the school premises.

The project is coordinated by the Municipality of Salamina (Greece) in cooperation with Center for Social Innovation – CSI (Cyprus), Rozprawy o Europie (Poland), AFOI KOUTSANTONI EE RDC Company (Greece), CYLN (Greece) and DYPALL Network under the Erasmus+ programme.
