“Europe Goes Local” Steering group and Advisory Board in Madeira, Portugal Activity From 5 to 7 November 2024, the island of Madeira, Portugal, hosted the meetings of the Steering Group and Advisory Board of ‘Europe Goes Local’ (EGL), organised by the DYPALL Network and JINT, with the support of the Madeira Regional Youth Directorate. The meetings in Madeira were significant for several reasons: strategic planning for the period 2024-2027; exploring and agreeing on ‘Ways of Working of EGL‘; discussing activities for the three-year plan. Europe Goes Local is a European cooperation project to develop and strengthen local youth work. It is funded by the participating National Agencies through the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. EGL is managed by the Steering Group, which oversees its main objectives, and the Advisory Board, which plans European and national activities. By bringing together experts, policymakers, and practitioners, EGL contributes to strengthening youth work practices and policies throughout Europe.
