Membership Day and & Networking for Democracy On 2nd and 3rd September, two events for the DYPALL Network Membership took place online. The first day was reserved for the autumn edition of the Membership Day. It began with opening remarks from Bruno António, the Executive Director of DYPALL Network, followed by updates on the state of the network and the annual work plan. There was also exciting news about the creation of a Members Communication Toolkit that provides practical guidance and ready-to-use resources to support DYPALL Network members. The Membership Hub launch was announced to happen during DYPALL Network’s flagship event in December. After all the updates from the DYPALL Network Secretariat, there was a moment to be updated on European youth policy from DG EAC Policy Officer Charalampos Papaioannou, who outlined upcoming steps for the next EU Youth Strategy. After the dedicated Q&A, the event concluded with an open space for members to share good practices, highlighting INEDNET’s BUDGETIFY initiative for youth participatory budgeting. The second day was for the Networking for Democracy. Our members had the opportunity to learn more about three different funding programmes: Erasmus+ KA154, presented by Bruno António – Executive Director of DYPALL Network; the CERV programme introduced by Sandra Pereira, representative of the Portuguese CERV National Contact Point; and Horizon Europe, presented by Marisa Borges – the Portuguese national delegate and NCP, which was followed by a Q&A session. Members then came together to share common needs across each DYPALL Network programme area, brainstorming a project idea for the most relevant need identified. Both of the events were really well received by the members. The Membership Day was organised for a second time this year and tends to become a traditional gathering for members online twice a year. In this edition, the members showed a strong interest in the European youth policy updates and the space created for sharing best practices. The Networking for Democracy event was organised for the first time, and the team was extremely pleased with the dynamics that unfolded during the session, witnessing the interaction and engagement of members working toward a common goal.
