#we are Europe CLICK – picture on youth policies

 On June 17, in Florence, Giovanisì (youth employment service of the Tuscany Region) in cooperation with the EU Committee of Regions and the Tuscany Representation in Brussels, promoted “We are Europe. CLICK – picture on youth policy“.

 The event was dedicated to discuss and reflect on the state of art of youth policies at European level, starting from a dynamic comparison of regional and local experiences.

Several dimensions of youth policies were addressed, comparing European good practices: guidance and internships, employment and entrepreneurship, youth and institutions, cross-cutting youth policies. The best practices presented came from 8 regions: Wales (UK), Algarve (Portugal), Järvi-Suomi District (Finland), Umbria, Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Lombardia and Campania (Italy).

The key note “THE EU STRATEGY AND THE ROLE OF THE REGIONS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN YOUTH AUTHONOMY PROCESSES: WILL YOUTH GUARANTEE HAVE A FUTURE? HOW DID IT WORK?” was addressed by:

  • Enrico Rossi, President of the Tuscany Region, Italy
  • Markku Markkula, President of the Committee of the Regions
  • Albert Bore, Vice President of the Committee of the Regions
  • Cinzia Masina, Deputy Head of Unit DG Employment, Social Affairs and inclusion of European Commission
  • Giuliano Poletti, Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Italy
