Preparatory Meeting for the “Local Youth Councils as Advocades for Democracy” Study Session in Strasbourg

From 28 to 31 August 2025, the preparatory meeting for the upcoming Study Session “Local Youth Councils as Advocates for Democracy” took place in the European Youth Centre Strasbourg. The activity is organised by DYPALL Network in cooperation with the Council of Europe Youth Department (@coe_youth).

During the meeting, the team met for the first time and engaged in comprehensive planning of the programme and the overall flow of the Study Session. The discussions focused on refining the educational objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes, ensuring that the session will provide a meaningful platform for learning, exchange, and capacity-building.

The Study Session will be held from 23 to 29 November 2025 at the European Youth Centre Strasbourg. It will bring together young people, youth workers, and representatives of local youth councils to explore their role as advocates for democracy, participation, and inclusive governance at the local level.
