  • KA1: Youth Actors in Decision Making – Acireale, Italy (3rd trimester, 2017)

A five days training course that we recommend to all our Network members, since it allows to explore the basis of youth participation and to gain a deep understanding of youth participation and decision-making. It provides the tools for improving not only our understanding of the role of youth in shaping our communities, but it also allows to work on concrete models of cooperation among civil society and public authorities at local level. It provides a framework for developing quality local projects in partnership and collaboration between CSOs and public authorities.

  • KA1: Young Migrant Voices:  – Lisbon, Portugal (November, 2017)

The course “Young Migrant Voices: a training course for boosting participation of young migrants in decision-making processes at local level” calls for the mobilisation of all those working with youth at regional and local level throughout Europe to better approach, involve and engage young people with migrant background, as no neighbourhood and no city is less affected by the hazard of forgetting its ever-growing population of migrant youth.

  • KA1: Youth Takes the Floor: – Portimão, Portugal (December, 2017)

This five day training course aims to allow youth leaders, youth workers, local and regional public authority officers dealing with youth to work together on developing the necessary competences to efficiently plan, implement, sustain and reform local participative structures such as local youth councils, youth forums and/or other spaces of permanent structured dialogue and co-management at the local level. It is recommended for CSOs and municipalities/regional authorities that have a basic understanding of what youth participation is (e.g. areas addressed in the Youth Actors in Decision Making Training Course) and want to start making concrete steps to allow youth to get involve in policy making at local and regional level, by creating instruments and structures to do so, or who want to reform and revise existing structures to make them more efficient and participatory.

  • KA1: Partnership Building Activity: North South Cooperation on Local Democracy – CEULAJ, Mollina – Spain, 18 – 25 September 2017

DYPALL Network will organise a Partnership-Building Activity (PBA) bringing together youth workers and local youth policy representatives to foster networking and cooperation within and across Mediterranean countries and establish a partnership for an effective and sustainable involvement of youth in decision-making processes.

The partners will come together for 7 days during this seminar to debate, share ideas and exchange realities and good practices in terms of cooperation between civil society and local authorities in the region and give an impulse to Euro-Mediterranean collaboration in the fields of democracy, active citizenship and youth participation with concrete follow-up projects. We aim to contribute to building bridges between the two shores and establishing a strong and sustainable North-South cooperation in the fields of democracy, active citizenship and youth participation at local level which is of key importance as there is a growing recognition of institutions of the importance of investing in the younger generations at Euro-Mediterranean level.

“Opening channels for political participation of youth is one of the most powerful steps the Mediterranean region can take” Federica Mogherini – March 2017
