Preparatory Meeting for the 25th University on Youth and Development

On 17-18 June 2026, DYPALL Network joined the preparatory meeting for the 2026 edition of the University on Youth and Development (UYD). This initiative will take place from 13 to 21 September 2026 in Mollina (Spain).
This edition of UYD will be co-organised the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe together with four non-governmental organisations. A joint programme will bring together the participants of the activities that each partner organisation will organise during the week. The main theme of this edition of the initiative will be “AI, Youth, and Peace: Preventing cybercrime and digital harm through responsible AI governance” All parts of the programme will be linked to this focus area.

DYPALL Network will organise a training course on Local Youth Councils and their adaptation skills in the context of the widespread use of Artificial Intelligence systems. The representatives of these participation mechanisms will be able to learn about the impact that these tools can have on democratic systems, especially at the local level. Young people can play a central role in spreading awareness on both the benefits and risks of Artificial Intelligence and promote its responsible use, including in online spaces.

During the Preparatory Meeting, DYPALL Network and the other partners visited the event venue, as well as the village where it is located. Together, they planned their collaboration for organising this edition of the University on Youth and Development. Each organisation will offer its peculiar perspective and its knowledge to build a forum that can inspire young people to imagine a fair and democratic future.

DYPALL Network is glad to take part once again in this remarkable initiative.
