S.P.A.C.E for Youth Project Kick-Off Meeting in Sofia The “S.P.A.C.E for Youth – Spread Participation, Active Citizenship and Engagement” project kicked off in Sofia, Bulgaria, from the 2nd to the 5th of February 2026, bringing partners together to launch two years of work empowering young people aged 18–30 through stronger democratic engagement and media literacy. The kick-off meeting marked the official start of this European cooperation, giving partners the opportunity to meet in person, get to know each other’s organisations, and build a shared vision for the work ahead. It was an important first step in creating a strong partnership and setting the foundations for the next two years. Participants explored the project’s objectives and planned upcoming activities aimed at supporting young people, especially those from rural and semi-rural areas with fewer opportunities. Through workshops, training courses, digital learning tools, and participatory experiences, the project will help young people strengthen their skills, confidence, and engagement in democratic life. The project is coordinated by Asociación Cazalla Intercultural (Spain) in cooperation with Ballyfermot Youth Service (Ireland), Pistes Solidaires (France), Fekete Sereg Youth Association (Hungary), DYPALL Network, Infinite Opportunities Association (Bulgaria), and is co-founded by the European Union.
