EU Youth Stakeholders Group Meeting in Brussels

DYPALL Network took part in the EU Youth Stakeholders Group Meeting on 11–12 June in Brussels, Belgium.

During the event, 90 representatives from European youth organisations, national youth councils, youth researchers, representatives of Member States and other EU institutions gathered to discuss the future of young people across Europe.

The meeting aimed to exchange knowledge and good practices related to engaging, connecting and empowering young people, as well as implementing the 2019-2027 EU Youth Strategy. It also aimed to facilitate the Youth Check process, improve understanding of young people’s needs and concerns, and serve as an incubator of ideas and actions that benefit young people across Europe.

The first day of the meeting was opened by Ingrid Bellander Todino, Head of the Youth and Intergenerational Fairness Unit at the European Commission, and chaired by Marta Markowska, the newly appointed EU Youth Coordinator.

Key topics included the importance of involving young people in EU decision-making processes, a consultation on the Youth Check initiative, discussions on how institutions can better communicate with young audiences, and an interactive consultation about the post-2027 EU Youth Strategy. During this session, stakeholders exchanged experiences and perspectives alongside youth representatives and sector experts.

The second day focused on turning ideas into concrete actions. In particular, discussions centred on the Youth Check, with a focus on education, and included reflections on potential shared priorities for future youth policies and programmes.

DYPALL Network was pleased to contribute to these two days of discussions on youth participation and empowerment, exchanging valuable insights on best practices with key stakeholders from across Europe.
