HUMAN project concludes in Koper, Slovenia

The final Transnational partnership meeting of the HUMAN project – Digital Hate Interrupter Activism to combat structural racism, promoting inter-community cooperation through digital technologies, successfully took place in Koper, Slovenia, hosted by Science and Research Centre Koper. Over two days, project partners from Greece, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, and Slovenia convened to reflect on key achievements, evaluate project outcomes, and define sustainability pathways for continued impact beyond the project’s lifecycle.

A key focus of the meeting was a comprehensive review of the project’s core outputs, including the Digital Hate Interrupter Activism Online Learning Platform i Youth Leader Roadmap to Social Impact Projects, both designed to empower young people to counter online hate and foster inclusive digital environments. Partners shared feedback and proposed final improvements to ensure these tools remain accessible, impactful, and adaptable across different
national contexts. A major highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Transnational Report on Digital Hate Interrupter Activism, offering comparative insights from participating countries. The report demonstrates the growing relevance of youth-led digital activism in addressing online hate speech. Additionally, partners presented the reach and engagement of the project’s HUMAN podcast series, showcasing strong dissemination results through streams, listeners, and audience interaction across Europe.

The HUMAN project has brought together a diverse consortium committed to combating structural racism through innovative digital approaches. By combining research, education, and activism, the project has empowered young people and strengthened cross-sector collaboration at the European level. In the final discussion, it was agreed that the HUMAN initiative should continue, further empowering youth to counter online hate and promote inclusive digital communities.
