Innovation for Youth participation in EU Outermost regions

The project organised a five-day study visit to Iceland to allow staff to learn from relevant Icelandic initiatives and strengthen DYPALL Network’s quality work on youth and digital participation at the local level. The visit included Reykjavík Municipality programmes, the National Youth Council of Iceland (LUF), and Samfés, as well as meetings in Hafnarfjörður and Árborg Municipalities. Reykjavík’s “Better Reykjavik” project was recognised by OECD-OPSI as an innovative case study, while LUF was highlighted by the Council of Europe as a European best practice. Participants also explored Samfés’ strong youth engagement model and the well-established youth councils in Hafnarfjörður and Árborg, which implement several youth participation projects under Erasmus+ programmes.
