“IMPACT – European Platform for Quality Development of Local Youth Councils” Partner Meeting in Finland

From 7th to 10th September 2026, partners of the “IMPACT – European Platform for Quality Development of Local Youth Councils” project gathered in Helsinki, Finland, for the second transnational partners meeting. Hosted by The Union of Local Youth Councils in Finland, the in-person meeting allowed the consortium to review and evaluate project progress and plan the remaining implementation phases.

The primary focus of the meeting was finalising the European Platform for Quality Development of Local Youth Councils. Set to launch soon, this interactive online platform will serve as an essential hub for LYC stakeholders seeking to improve the standards and increase the impact of local youth councils.

Key features of the upcoming platform include:

  • Interactive Assessment Tool: An evaluation system enabling local youth councils stakeholders to measure performance and target areas for improvement
  • Quality Guidelines: Actionable recommendations offering practical steps to strengthen local youth democracy
  • Tailored Action Plans: Structured frameworks designed to help local youth councils outline long-term strategies for sustainable continuous improvement
  • Resource Hub: A dedicated repository gathering valuable materials, tools, and insights on local youth councils

The development of the platform is currently in its final stages, and official public access will be announced soon.

In addition to refining the platform, partners advanced final preparations for the international training course on Local Youth Councils Quality Development which will take place in the second half of November 2026 in Portugal. Strategies were also established for upcoming local and international dissemination events to share project outcomes.
