Investing in the Future: DYPALL Network at the European Parliament

w dniu 23rd – 24th March, DYPALL Network joined a crucial dialogue in Brussels titled “Invest in What Matters: How can the next EU long-term budget better support democracy?” Hosted by the Parlament Europejski, the event gathered key stakeholders and civil society organisations to ensure that the Union’s financial priorities align with its democratic values.

The EU long-term budget is the primary mechanism for delivering peace and prosperity across the continent. By pooling resources at the European level, the budget creates added value, enabling the funding of large-scale projects and policies that would be far less effective if managed by member states individually. For DYPALL Network, this event was a vital platform for advocating stronger democratic investment at the local level.

Throughout the sessions, we engaged in exchanging ideas and advocating for a budget that empowers citizens and protects democratic structures. We emphasised that democracy requires consistent support and that the next financial framework must prioritise the inclusion of young people and local communities. By ensuring that civil society remains at the heart of EU funding, we can build a more resilient and participatory Europe.

As we look toward the next funding cycle, DYPALL Network remains committed to ensuring that the EU budget remains a tool for genuine civic empowerment. We will continue to work alongside our partners to make certain that the resources pooled in Brussels translate into meaningful impact for the communities we serve.
