EulectionPlay: Gamification of public participation of young people Дейност Проектът “EulectionPlay: Gamification of public participation of young people: from local government to EU Elections” aims to promote participatory democracy by supporting young people’s involvement in shaping local and European Union democracy using gamification and non-formal education approaches. In this phase, the project focused on providing teachers with innovative ways of teaching democracy and the principles of the European Union through the use of the board game “ElectionVille” and other non-formal education methodologies. Customised as an educational tool, the board game “ElectionVille” sparks vital classroom conversations and promotes civic participation by simulating electoral processes. From May to September 2023, DYPALL Network conducted 5 training sessions of 4 hours with 25 teachers from six schools across Portugal, equipping them with practical tools for engaging youth in learning about democratic participation. The training sessions were held as follows: 4th May 2023 (online) Teachers from Escola Secundária Pinheiro e Rosa, Escola Secundária Poeta António Aleixo, and Escola Profissional D. Afonso Henriques. 19th May 2023 (in-person): During the “Participatory Schools 4 Better Democracy” conference in Faro, DYPALL Network delivered training to teachers and youth workers. 11th September 2023 (online): Teachers from Escola Secundária de Silves and Escola Secundária Aquilino Ribeiro. 13th September 2023 (online): Teachers from Agrupamento de Escolas de Azambuja participated. 25th September 2023 (online): Teachers from Escola Secundária Poeta António Aleixo.
