\u00abEm 17 de Dezembro de 1999, na sua\u00a0Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o 54\/120<\/a>, a Assembleia Geral das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas subscreveu a recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o da Confer\u00eancia Mundial dos Ministros Respons\u00e1veis pela Juventude (Lisboa, 8-12 de Agosto de 1998) de que 12 de Agosto seja declarado Dia Internacional da Juventude.<\/p>\n

Desde a ado\u00e7\u00e3o da Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o do Conselho de Seguran\u00e7a\u00a0S\/RES\/2250 (2015)<\/a>\u00a0em 2015, h\u00e1 um reconhecimento crescente de que, enquanto agentes de mudan\u00e7a, a inclus\u00e3o dos jovens na agenda para a paz e a seguran\u00e7a e na sociedade em geral \u00e9 fundamental para construir e manter a paz. Outra Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o S\/RES\/2282 (2016) do Conselho de Seguran\u00e7a reafirma o importante papel que os jovens podem desempenhar na dissuas\u00e3o e resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de conflitos e s\u00e3o constituintes fundamentais para garantir o \u00eaxito dos esfor\u00e7os de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e consolida\u00e7\u00e3o da paz.<\/p>\n

\u00abJuventude a construir a paz\u00bb<\/h3>\n

O Dia Internacional da Juventude de 2017 \u00e9 dedicado a celebrar os contributos dos jovens para a preven\u00e7\u00e3o e transforma\u00e7\u00e3o de conflitos, bem como para a inclus\u00e3o, a justi\u00e7a social e a paz sustent\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n

A Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel comprometeu-se a promover sociedades pac\u00edficas e inclusivas e afirmou que \u00abo desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel n\u00e3o pode ser realizado sem paz e seguran\u00e7a\u00bb. O objetivo 16 visa assegurar uma tomada de decis\u00f5es reativa, inclusiva, participativa e representativa a todos os n\u00edveis. O\u00a0Programa Mundial de Ac\u00e7\u00e3o para a Juventude<\/a>, que proporciona um quadro pol\u00edtico e orienta\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e1ticas para melhorar a situa\u00e7\u00e3o dos jovens, incentiva igualmente \u00aba promo\u00e7\u00e3o da participa\u00e7\u00e3o ativa dos jovens na manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da paz e da seguran\u00e7a\u00bb.\u00bb<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
