De startbijeenkomst van de \u201cCities of Welcome: Het project \"Verbetering van de participatie van jonge migranten op lokaal niveau\" vond op 12 mei plaats in Keulen, Duitsland. Het was een gelegenheid om elkaar te leren kennen, administratief werk te organiseren en het onderzoeksproces te plannen, dat de komende maanden de verdere ontwikkeling van het project zal leiden.<\/p>\n

\u201cCities of Welcome \u2013 Improving the Participation of Young Migrants at Local Level\u201d is een project van kernactie 2 tussen Migrafrica (Duitsland), DYPALL Network, Fundaci\u00f3 Catalunya Volunt\u00e0ria (Spanje) en Citizen Association United Youth (Noord-Macedoni\u00eb), dat tot doel heeft de omstandigheden, de algehele integratie en de deelname van jonge migranten en jongeren met een migrantenachtergrond in hun lokale gemeenschappen te verbeteren door goede praktijken en voorbeelden van integratie te delen en samen met en voor deze doelgroep betere oplossingen te zoeken.<\/p>\n

Dit project zal gemeenten in partnerlanden in staat stellen beste praktijken en modellen uit Zuid-, Noord- en Oost-Europa uit te wisselen en ervaringen en ge\u00efntegreerde manieren te verzamelen om de deelname van jonge migranten en jongeren met een migrantenachtergrond te vergemakkelijken en te ondersteunen en zo hun integratie in de samenleving te vergemakkelijken. Het is bedoeld om een aantal van de uitdagingen waarmee gemeenten worden geconfronteerd als het gaat om de integratie van de participatie van migrantenjongeren, zoals structurele en sociale belemmeringen, te verlichten. De projectpartners zijn van mening dat de specifieke behoeften van doelgroepen met betrekking tot burgerparticipatie en politieke participatie tussen de kieren van het bestaande jeugd- en inclusiebeleid liggen. Dit project zal lokale overheden en jeugdwerkers ook in staat stellen de \u201ctokenisering\u201d van jonge migranten te voorkomen en ervoor te zorgen dat hun inclusie in participatie zinvol is, wat een vereiste is voor hun volledige integratie.<\/p>\n
