UCILeR begrijpt dat de wet een transversale bijdrage kan leveren, die essentieel is voor sociale cohesie en co-existentie tussen mensen, alsook voor de opbouw van normatieve kaders die op eerlijke wijze duurzame ontwikkeling nastreven. Het onderzoeksvoorstel van UCILeR is gebaseerd op reflectie over hedendaagse problemen en de manieren waarop deze juridisch kunnen worden opgelost, hetzij in het licht van de huidige wetgeving, hetzij door de noodzakelijke wijzigingen in het huidige kader.
