Lokale jeugdraden voor kwaliteitsvolle lokale democratieën

The project addressed cross-border European challenges related to involving young people as active actors in participatory democracy. It aimed to build a diverse network of youth workers and youth leaders supporting youth involvement in local decision-making. Through its international dimension, it strengthened capacity-building by sharing innovative perspectives and needs-driven approaches adapted to different local contexts. The project developed stakeholders’ competences, explored key quality tools such as the Quality Charter, its User Guide, and the Toolkit for upgrading local youth councils, and fostered collaboration among participants from EU and non-EU countries. It also promoted intercultural understanding and mainstreamed local youth councils as inclusive spaces for meaningful youth participation in local democracies.
