\u00abLe 17 d\u00e9cembre 1999, dans sa\u00a0r\u00e9solution 54\/120<\/a>, l'Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Nations unies a approuv\u00e9 la recommandation de la Conf\u00e9rence mondiale des ministres de la jeunesse (Lisbonne, 8-12 ao\u00fbt 1998) de d\u00e9clarer le 12 ao\u00fbt Journ\u00e9e internationale de la jeunesse.<\/p>\n

Depuis l'adoption de la r\u00e9solution du Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9\u00a0S\/RES\/2250 (2015)<\/a>\u00a0en 2015, il est de plus en plus reconnu qu\u2019en tant qu\u2019agents du changement, l\u2019inclusion des jeunes dans le programme pour la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral est essentielle \u00e0 la construction et au maintien de la paix. Une autre r\u00e9solution du Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 S\/RES\/2282 (2016) r\u00e9affirme le r\u00f4le important que les jeunes peuvent jouer dans la dissuasion et la r\u00e9solution des conflits, et sont des \u00e9l\u00e9ments cl\u00e9s pour assurer le succ\u00e8s des efforts de maintien et de consolidation de la paix.<\/p>\n

\u00abJeunesse pour la paix\u00bb<\/h3>\n

La Journ\u00e9e internationale de la jeunesse 2017 est consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des contributions des jeunes \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention et \u00e0 la transformation des conflits, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019inclusion, \u00e0 la justice sociale et \u00e0 la paix durable.<\/p>\n

Le programme de d\u00e9veloppement durable \u00e0 l\u2019horizon 2030 s\u2019est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 promouvoir des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pacifiques et inclusives et a affirm\u00e9 que \u00able d\u00e9veloppement durable ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sans la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9\u00bb. L'objectif 16 vise \u00e0 garantir une prise de d\u00e9cision r\u00e9active, inclusive, participative et repr\u00e9sentative \u00e0 tous les niveaux.
