The Transnational Partners Meeting for the PLAYCRACY \u2013 Game-based approaches for strengthening youth participation in democracy project took place from 2nd to 4th December 2025 in Portim\u00e3o, officially marking the start of the project\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative seeks to boost young people\u2019s involvement in democratic life by equipping youth workers with creative, game-based learning methods. At its core, the project aims to inspire young people to explore democratic processes through practical, hands-on experiences, helping them build confidence and a stronger sense of agency in their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the three-day meeting, project coordinators and representatives from the partner organisations gathered to exchange good practices and participate in a series of brainstorming sessions. These discussions helped shape the project\u2019s upcoming steps, which include designing a toolkit for trainers and developing a training programme tailored to the needs of youth workers. The intention is to provide accessible resources that bring gamification and board games into civic education, encouraging critical thinking, informed decision-making and active participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is coordinated by Asociatia Share Education. Impartasim Educatie (Romania), in cooperation with DYPALL Network (Portugal) and Dracon Rules Design Studio (Greece), and is co-funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
